PRE-SUBMITTAL COMPLETENESS REVIEW

1

Review plans, supporting documents, and project information prior to submittal to identify missing or incomplete items that may delay application acceptance. Documents are reviewed against the applicable jurisdiction’s published submittal requirements to help prepare a complete permit package.

PERMIT APPLICATION PREPARATION

2

Prepare applicable permit application forms using project information provided by the client and design team. Verify required project, property, contractor, owner, valuation, and scope information is included and organize supporting documentation required for application.

AHJ COMMUNICATION & COORDINATION

3

Coordinate with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to confirm applicable submittal requirements, processes, and procedures prior to submission. Serve as the primary permit-process contact, when authorized, for ongoing communication, status updates, administrative requests, and coordination throughout the permitting process.

PERMIT & PLAN SUBMITTAL

4

Prepare and submit the permit package to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), including permit applications, construction plans, supporting documents, and other required materials. Files are organized and submitted in accordance with the jurisdiction’s established electronic or physical submittal requirements.

REVISION COORDINATION

5

Coordinate permit review comments and requested revisions with the client and appropriate design professionals. Track outstanding items, organize revised plans and supporting documents provided by the project team, and submit revised materials to the AHJ for continued review.

PERMIT ISSUANCE COORDINATION

6

Monitor the project through final permit approval and issuance. Confirm outstanding administrative requirements have been addressed, coordinate final documentation as needed, communicate permit fees and issuance requirements to the client, and assist with obtaining issued permit documents and approved plans.
